Zone Concert a HIT!
----------------------------
A standing ovation at the end of any performance is such a great feeling. That's exactly what the 350+ performers were able to enjoy at the 2012 DRHS Zone Concert. Parents, Administrators, students and staff alike were impressed with all the groups' performances: Depoali Beginning, Intermediate & Advanced Bands; and the DRHS Symphonic Band. As Mr. Schifferdecker stated, and we all witnessed first-hand, the Damonte Ranch program is definitely on the verge of many extraordinary accomplishments. Kudos to all!!

ALL-STATE --- SOLO & ENSEMBLE CONTEST
----------------------------
The following students auditioned and were accepted into Nevada All-State ensembles: Elise Tran (oboe - Band), Nathaniel Reyes (bassoon- Band), and Alex Chavez (trombone-Orchestra). This is the 2nd largest individual band representation from Northern Nevada (Galena HS) and the most ever for Damonte Ranch HS.

Additional fantastic news: the 11-member DRHS Percussion Ensemble and Nathaniel Reyes (bassoon) were selected this past weekend by the Regional Solo & Ensemble judging panel for advancement to State Level competition.

All of the All-State festivities occur in Las Vegas from April 18-21. Once again, congratulations to these 15 Damonte Ranch musicians!!!
